    Summary: Responsible for timely recruitment, screening, and enrollment of qualified subjects for ongoing research studies and for supporting recruitment-related administrative and outreach efforts activities. Performs duties in accordance with company’s values, policies and procedures.

    Responsibilities

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities will include the following. Other duties may be assigned at the company’s sole discretion.

     

    • Collaborates with Subject Recruitment Supervisor on department specific objectives and structure, department procedural documentation, and tools for recruitment activities.
    • Speaks professionally to potential subjects to obtain data and detailed medical history information and inputs into Volunteer Database (VDB). Explains studies and procedures and determines study eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria.
    • Ensures that each completed call is accurately dispositioned in the InContact system so Subject Recruitment Supervisor can provide reports on call outcomes.
    • Performs study specific queries from VDB. Schedules screening appointments for pre-qualified study subjects. Tracks all study related recruiting activity. Ensures that recruitment plan milestones are achieved and communicates with supervisor regarding status and needed modifications.
    • Updates information from subject global files into the VDB.
    • Participates in database revisions and maintenance planning and implementation.
    • Participates in community outreach programs (health fairs, interactions with local professionals, and community advocacy and service groups).

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    Subject Recruiter Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three months health industry related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Subject Recruiter Language Ability:

    Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to potential subjects, managers, and other employees of the organization. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.

     

    Math Ability:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

     

    Subject Recruiter Computer Skills:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the current MS Office Suite and knowledge of media and graphics programs.
